ACA Smart Waiver
Paddle Plan:  Paddle Plan:  This is a slow, leisurely  paddle looking for birds and will follow the shoreline from the east boat ramp area, past the wetland area, over along the west shoreline to the west boat ramp area, then along the dam and swim beach area and back to the east boat ramp area to the put in.  Total approx. 5 miles. Ending around noon.  Bring a lunch if you want to hang out afterward. 

What to bring: Must have PFD, safety whistle, hat, sunscreen, binoculars. Snacks and water.  Open to RMSKC current member or non member fee pay the one time $10 ACA fee and sign an ACA Waiver. 

Where: New location: Cherry Creek State Park and Reservoir.  The daily park pass for Cherry Creek is $11.00 unless you already have a yearly state park pass.  We will use the East entrance off 4201 S. Parker Road, Aurora, CO and plan to put in at the shoreline along where the picnic tables are near the east boat ramp parking area.  Once your boat is unloaded you can park in the east boat ramp  parking area. 

Hazards: Cold water.  Check the local weather and water temps reported on the Cherry Creek Website: 
Water Temps  If the wind picks up expect waves.

This is an ACA sanctioned event. All participants must wear a properly fitting and fastened PFD. No alcohol or recreational drugs allowed while on the water. Members and guests who are ACA members need an current ACA annual waiver. Non ACA members need to pay $10 to cover our insurance costs and sign a waiver before paddling.
