About this event
We will be going at the same time as the Rocky Mountain Canoe Club. NEW INFO: We can join the RMCC in their group campground site. Let Leslie know you want to camp there and bring $20 cash for each night to contribute to the group site charge.
Saturday morning we’ll gather at the Dewey Bridge Campground boat ramp 32 miles east of Moab via UT128, drive up-river from there to the put-in at Cisco Landing & paddle a flatwater, somewhat remote 16-mile section of the Colorado River through desert and ranchland back to Dewey Bridge.
Sunday morning we’ll launch at Dewey Bridge to enjoy 8 miles of Class I water through spectacular red rock canyons as we paddle to the take-out at Lower Onion Creek Campground. As an option, some paddlers may want to continue downriver & paddle the “Moab Daily” section before leaving the river. Beyond Lower Onion Creek the rapids will likely be Class II to II+ with helmets required.
Plan to car camp Friday & Saturday nights either at Dewey Bridge Campground or in the vicinity. All individual sites are first-come, first served. Or, if you prefer, there are numerous hotels in Moab, a 45-minute drive.
This is a dry campsite with pit toilets. Bring water for all your camping needs.
Pack a lunch to eat somewhere along the river each day.
This is an ACA event. Please make sure your ACA membership is current and you have signed an annual waiver that has not expired. You can easily do an ACA waiver NOW. ACA Smart Waiver

The Rocky Mountain Sea Kayak Club cannot accept responsibility for any injury or accident that may occur.
Utah rule: All boaters must take the annual Utah mussel-aware boater course & have proof of course completion in your launch vehicle. See http://wildlife.utah.gov/fishing/invasive-mussels.html
